The purpose of this retrospective study was to determine the prevalence of inflammatory periodontal disease among patients with fixed orthodontic appliance. An analysis was made of 932 outpatient folds of orthodontic patients of the dental clinic “Olga”, Volgograd, for the period 2016-2018. In the course of the study, it was found that patients with dentoalveolar anomalies showed signs of inflammation of periodontal tissues of varying severity even before the start of orthodontic intervention. It intensified during the treatment, and the prevalence of pathology reached 100% when using fixed equipment
