ALERTNESS OF MEDICAL PERSONNEL AND FACTORS OF CHRONIC KIDNEY DISEASE IN CHILDREN

Резюме

The aim of the study: the awareness of doctors about chronic kidney disease in children, as well as their alertness about this disease. A correspondence survey was conducted among 356 doctors working with the children's population in Moscow and the Moscow region (60 % of them are district pediatricians, 23 % are hospital pediatricians, 8 % are emergency pediatricians, 9 % are general practitioners). Main results: 70.6% of respondents indicated a feeling of need for additional knowledge in the profile of "Nephrology", 61.3 % of doctors experienced difficulties in diagnosing kidney diseases in children, 48 % of interviewed specialists additionally reported that they experience difficulties in referring patients to a nephrologist if kidney disease is suspected. Doctors working in a hospital are much less likely to refer patients to a nephrologist for examination.
