Condensation of equimolar quantities of 2,4-bis(trimethylsilyloxy)pyrimidine and 1-bromo-omega-(3,5-dimethylphenoxy)alkanes led to 1-[omega-(3,5-dimethylphenoxy)alkyl]uracil derivatives. The yields of target compounds amounted to 68—80 %. Physico-chemical and spectral properties of the synthesized compounds were studied. These compounds appear to be potential anti-HIV-1 agents.
